So it’s the biggest news item of the week. No, not US congressmen apologising to Maher Arar, nor the Conservative government surviving the throne speech, nor the wildfires in California, nor the faint hope for peace in Darfur nor even England’s crushing defeat to South Africa in the Rugby World Cup. No, it’s J.K. Rowling’s shocking announcement that Albus Dumbledore is queerer than a clockwork orange. Can’t say as I care, particularly, though I did find Neil Gaiman’s commentary quite interesting. But I definitely want a t-shirt
