So last night when I was going to bed I somehow managed to slam my face into a mug that I’d cleverly left sitting on my bed. I was tired and kind of dismissed it once the white-hot blast of pain had ebbed, but when I woke up this morning my right eye wouldn’t open properly and was lavishly decorated with lurid purple. It’s okay, I know how he gets when he drinks, he loves me really. Oh, the potential for tasteless battered girlfriend jokes will be almost infinite. Also I got to do this hunted celebrity thing in the supermarket today, walking around with my giant sunglasses on trying to avoid the paparazzi which are the bane of my existence as you well know.

In other news, I discovered yesterday evening that my camera is now well and truly fucked; whilst attempting to make the flash adjust contact work at my parents’ house last weekend I must have misaligned the ‘mode’ switch (the one that tells it whether you want to see the pictures or take a picture) when I put the back back on. Of course, I have no access to the tools necessary to re-remove the camera back in this province, so I’m S.O.L. until I can either get it to a repairperson or get a new one. So if anyone has any suggestions as to what my new camera should be post it in da comments (is anybody out there? is anybody listening?) I want something better than what I’ve been using but as that’s a 4-year-old+ 2.3mp SD200 Canon ELPH an upgrade shouldn’t be too tough. Obviously what I really want is a digital rebel but that’s just a tad out of my budget. I really like the new versions of my current camera, I can’t remember what they’re up to now but it’s like SD450 or 500 and they’ve got more megapixels than you can shake a stick at, but I think they removed some of the manual features like the shutter speed adjustment and B&W mode and the exposure adjustment. And I need that shit or else what’s the point of even trying to take pictures, they’ll all look like ass. I’m considering the A series, the cams aren’t as cute but they’re supposed to be really good. Anyway, your thoughts would be much appreciated.
