don’t take my kodachrome away!

I just realised that my Flickr account expired today and it’ll be a couple of days before I’ll be able to get it up and running again so I guess my project is on hiatus until that happens, as my bandwidth is exceeded and there’re a measly 200 pix visible. I hope my withdrawal symptoms are not too terribly severe. So yeah, if anyone’s looking for pictures that seem to have dissappeared, they’ll show up again once I get the account renewed. Bah.

In other news, the keyboard on my old computer recently became borked, so I’ve been using the onscreen keyboard viewer the occasional times I’ve needed to do something on that machine lately. Well I needed to type in the router password, which is a tricksy thing with many an obscure and unexpected character, and discovered that the keyboard viewer, whilst a lovely and elegant little application, is completely fecking useless for anything that involves holding down the shift key (or any other key) at the same time as pressing another key. And you can’t ‘insert’ from the character palette into the little password box, as a ’security measure’ or something. So you can’t say something like ‘!@£$%^&*()’, which is too bad, as that’s what I really wanted to say after 10 minutes of trying to find a percent sign. Bah.
